CD111

and the most popular subtypes like CD111+

CD111 Gene ID 58235
CD111 Official Full Name poliovirus receptor-related 1
CD111 Alias PVRL1, PRR1, Nectin-1, HVEC
CD111 Cellular Expression Endothelial; Epithelial; Erythrocyte; Macrophage; Platelet; Stem cell
CD111 Ligand/Receptor/Association nectin-3, Afadin, HSVgD
CD111 Function Entry mediator for several herpes viruses (HSV1, HSV2, PRV, BHV1).Believed to be involved in cell adhesion mechanisms
CD111 Summary Poliovirus receptor-related 1 (PVRL1), also known as nectin-1 and CD111 (formerly herpesvirus entry mediator C, HVEC) is a human protein of the immunoglobulin superfamily (IgSF), also considered a member of the nectins.[1] It is a membrane protein with three extracellular immunoglobulin domains, a single transmembrane helix and a cytoplasmic tail. The protein can mediate Ca2+-independent cellular adhesion further characterizing it as IgSF cell adhesion molecule (IgSF CAM).
