CD11

and the most common subtypes like CD11a, CD11b, CD11c and CD11+

CD11a - Cluster of differentiation 11a

CD11a Gene ID 3683
CD11a Official Full Name integrin subunit alpha L
CD11a Alias LFA-1, LFA1A, ITGAL
CD11a Cellular Expression T; B; NK; Dendritic; Granulocyte; Macrophage; monocytes
CD11a Ligand/Receptor/Association CD54, CD102, CD50, and CD242
CD11a Function Intracellular adhesion and costimulation.
CD11a Summary ITGAL encodes the integrin alpha L chain. Integrins are heterodimeric integral membrane proteins composed of an alpha chain and a beta chain. This I-domain containing alpha integrin combines with the beta 2 chain (ITGB2) to form the integrin lymphocyte function-associated antigen-1 (LFA-1), which is expressed on all leukocytes. LFA-1 plays a central role in leukocyte intercellular adhesion through interactions with its ligands, ICAMs 1-3 (intercellular adhesion molecules 1 through 3), and also functions in lymphocyte costimulatory signaling. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

CD11b - Cluster of differentiation 11b

CD11b Gene ID 3684
CD11b Official Full Name integrin subunit alpha M
CD11b Alias ITGAM, CR3A, MO1A, MAC-1, MAC1A, SLEB6
CD11b Cellular Expression T; B; NK; Dendritic; Macrophage; monocytes
CD11b Ligand/Receptor/Association CD54, iC3b and ECM , CD242
CD11b Function cell adhesion, and immune response
CD11b Summary This gene encodes the integrin alpha M chain. Integrins are heterodimeric integral membrane proteins composed of an alpha chain and a beta chain. This I-domain containing alpha integrin combines with the beta 2 chain (ITGB2) to form a leukocyte-specific integrin referred to as macrophage receptor 1 ('Mac-1'), or inactivated-C3b (iC3b) receptor 3 ('CR3'). The alpha M beta 2 integrin is important in the adherence of neutrophils and monocytes to stimulated endothelium, and also in the phagocytosis of complement coated particles. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2009]

CD11c - Cluster of differentiation 11c

CD11c Gene ID 3687
CD11c Official Full Name integrin subunit alpha X
CD11c Alias p150, 95, CR4, integrin alpha X, LFA-1A, ITGAX
CD11c Cellular Expression T; B; NK; Dendritic; Granulocyte; Macrophage; monocytes
CD11c Ligand/Receptor/Association iC3b, ECM
CD11c Function Cell adhesion
CD11c Summary This gene encodes the integrin alpha X chain protein. Integrins are heterodimeric integral membrane proteins composed of an alpha chain and a beta chain. This protein combines with the beta 2 chain (ITGB2) to form a leukocyte-specific integrin referred to as inactivated-C3b (iC3b) receptor 4 (CR4). The alpha X beta 2 complex seems to overlap the properties of the alpha M beta 2 integrin in the adherence of neutrophils and monocytes to stimulated endothelium cells, and in the phagocytosis of complement coated particles. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2013]
