The Bioaim Mouse MIP-2 ELISA kit is a solid phase sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) for the quantitative measurement of MIP-2 in mouse serum, plasma and cell culture media. An antibody specific for mouse MIP-2 was coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and samples are added to the wells and any MIP-2 present binds to the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed and biotinylated anti-mouse MIP-2 antibody is added. After washing away unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is added to the wells. The wells are again washed and TMB substrate solution is added, which produces a blue color in direct proportion to the amount of MIP-2 present in the initial sample. The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow, and the microwell absorbances are read at 450 nm.Research Area Angiogenesis; Cancer Biomarker;
chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 2 ( MIP-2 ) Background: CXCL2/GRO beta, also called MIP-2 in mouse and CINC-3 in rat, is a member of the CXC chemokine family. CXCL2/GRO beta is produced by a variety of cell types including monocytes and macrophages at sites of inflammation and is chemotactic for granulocytes, including neutrophils. CXCL2 is 90% identical in amino acid sequence as a related chemokine, CXCL1. The gene for CXCL2 is located on human chromosome 4 in a cluster of other CXC chemokines. CXCL2 mobilizes cells by interacting with a cell surface chemokine receptor called CXCR2.
