CD1

and the most common subtypes like CD1b, CD1c, CD1d and CD1+

CD1b - Cluster of differentiation 1b

CD1b Gene ID 910
CD1b Official Full Name CD1b molecule
CD1b Alias T6
CD1b Cellular Expression T; B; Dendritic; Macrophage
CD1b Ligand/Receptor/Association CD1-restricted TCR
CD1b Function Antigen presenting protein
CD1b Summary This gene encodes a member of the CD1 family of transmembrane glycoproteins, which are structurally related to the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) proteins and form heterodimers with beta-2-microglobulin. The CD1 proteins mediate the presentation of primarily lipid and glycolipid antigens of self or microbial origin to T cells. The human genome contains five CD1 family genes organized in a cluster on chromosome 1. The CD1 family members are thought to differ in their cellular localization and specificity for particular lipid ligands. The protein encoded by this gene localizes to late endosomes and lysosomes via a tyrosine-based motif in the cytoplasmic tail, and requires vesicular acidification to bind lipid antigens. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

CD1c - Cluster of differentiation 1c

CD1c Gene ID 911
CD1c Official Full Name CD1c molecule
CD1c Alias R7, CD1, CD1A, BDCA1
CD1c Cellular Expression T; B; Dendritic
CD1c Ligand/Receptor/Association CD1-restricted TCR
CD1c Function Non peptide antigen presentation to T-cell receptors on NKT cells.
CD1c Summary This gene encodes a member of the CD1 family of transmembrane glycoproteins, which are structurally related to the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) proteins and form heterodimers with beta-2-microglobulin. The protein encoded by this gene is broadly distributed throughout the endocytic system via a tyrosine-based motif in the cytoplasmic tail. Alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been observed, but their full-length nature is not known. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

CD1d - Cluster of differentiation 1d

CD1d Gene ID 912
CD1d Official Full Name CD1d molecule
CD1d Alias R3G1
CD1d Cellular Expression T; B; Dendritic; Epithelial
CD1d Ligand/Receptor/Association CD1-restricted TCR
CD1d Function Antigen presenting protein
CD1d Summary This gene encodes a divergent member of the CD1 family of transmembrane glycoproteins, which are structurally related to the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) proteins and form heterodimers with beta-2-microglobulin. The protein encoded by this gene localizes to late endosomes and lysosomes via a tyrosine-based motif in the cytoplasmic tail. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2016]
