The Bioaim Mouse CXCL7 ELISA kit is a solid phase sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) for the quantitative measurement of CXCL7/TCK-1 in mouse serum, plasma and cell culture media. An antibody specific for mouse CXCL7/TCK-1 was coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and samples are added to the wells and any CXCL7/TCK-1 present binds to the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed and biotinylated anti-mouse TCK-1 antibody is added. After washing away unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is added to the wells. The wells are again washed and TMB substrate solution is added, which produces a blue color in direct proportion to the amount of CXCL7/TCK-1 present in the initial sample. The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow, and the microwell absorbances are read at 450 nm.Research Area Angiogenesis; Inflammation;
pro-platelet basic protein (TCK-1) Background: Neutrophil activating peptide 2 (NAP-2), connective tissue activating protein III (CTAP-III) and beta-thrombogulin (beta-TG), are proteolytically processed carboxy-terminal fragments of platelet basic protein (PBP), which is found in the alpha-granules of human platelets. NAP-2 is a member of the CXC chemokines and is named CXCL7. Similar to other ELR domain containing CXC chemokines, such as IL-8 and the GRO proteins, NAP-2 binds CXCR2 and chemoattracts and activates neutrophils. It stimulates various processes including mitogenesis, synthesis of extracellular matrix, glucose metabolism and synthesis of plasminogen activator.
