The Bioaim Mouse MIP-1 gamma ELISA kit is a solid phase sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) for the quantitative measurement of MIP-1 gamma in mouse serum, plasma and cell culture media. An antibody specific for mouse MIP-1 gamma was coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and samples are added to the wells and any MIP-1 gamma present binds to the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed and biotinylated anti-mouse MIP-1 gamma antibody is added. After washing away unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is added to the wells. The wells are again washed and TMB substrate solution is added, which produces a blue color in direct proportion to the amount of MIP-1 gamma present in the initial sample. The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow, and the microwell absorbances are read at 450 nm.Research Area Angiogenesis;

chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 9 (MIP-1γ) Background: Mouse CCL9/10 (also named MIP-1 gamma and MRP-2) is an 11 kDa, secreted, monomeric polypeptide that belongs to the beta (or CC) intercrine family of chemokines. It is secreted by follicle-associated epithelium (FAE) such as that found around Peyer’s patches, and attracts dendritic cells that possess the cell surface molecule CD11b and the chemokine receptor CCR1.CCL9 can activate osteoclasts through its receptor CCR1 (the most abundant chemokine receptor found on osteoclasts) suggesting an important role for CCL9 in bone resorption. CCL9 is constitutively expressed in macrophages and myeloid cells.
