The Bioaim Human MPIF1 ELISA kit is a solid phase sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) for the quantitative measurement of MPIF1 in human serum and plasma. An antibody specific for human MPIF1 was coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and samples are added to the wells and any MPIF1 present binds to the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed and biotinylated anti-human MPIF1 antibody is added. After washing away unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is added to the wells. The wells are again washed and TMB substrate solution is added, which produces a blue color in direct proportion to the amount of MPIF1 present in the initial sample. The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow, and the microwell absorbances are read at 450 nm.Research Area Angiogenesis; inflammation;
C-C motif chemokine ligand 23( MPIF1 ) Background: Ck beta 8-1 (SCYA23), a splice variant of Ck beta 8 (also known as MPIF-1), is a CC chemokine. Compared to Ck beta 8-1, Ck beta 8/MPIF-1 lacks a 17 amino acid residue stretch (Leu47-Gly 63) present in Ck beta 8-1 and has a unique arginine at residue 46. Ck beta 8-1/Ck beta 8 (MPIF-1) and leukotactin/MIP-1 delta form a subgroup of CC chemokines that have 6 conserved cysteine residues and an extended amino-terminus preceding the conserved cysteine pair. CCL23 is highly chemotactic for resting T cells and monocytes and slightly chemotactic for neutrophils. It has also been attributed to an inhibitory activity on hematopoietic progenitor cells. The gene for CCL23 is located on human chromosome 17 in a locus containing several other CC chemokines. CCL23 is a ligand for the chemokine receptor CCR1.
