BioAim Scientific (Kanada)
The Bioaim Human G-CSF ELISA kit is a solid phase sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) for the quantitative measurement of G-CSF in human serum and plasma. An antibody specific for human G-CSF was coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and samples are added to the wells and any G-CSF present binds to the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed and biotinylated anti-human G-CSF antibody is added. After washing away unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is added to the wells. The wells are again washed and TMB substrate solution is added, which produces a blue color in direct proportion to the amount of G-CSF present in the initial sample. The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow, and the microwell absorbances are read at 450 nm.Research Area Inflammation;

Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor(G-CSF ) Background: G-CSF is a glycoprotein that stimulates the bone marrow to produce granulocytes and stem cells and release them into the bloodstream. Functionally, it is a cytokine and hormone, a type of colony-stimulating factor, and is produced by a number of different tissues. The pharmaceutical analogs of naturally occurring G-CSF are called filgrastim and lenograstim. It also stimulates the survival, proliferation, differentiation, and function of neutrophil precursors and mature neutrophils.It signals through G-CSFR/CD114 on monocytes, neutrophils, megakaryocytes, platelets, myeloid progenitors, trophoblasts and placenta, endothelial cells, and various tumor cell types. Mutations in G-CSFR are associated with congenital neutropenia.
