The Bioaim Human DMP1 ELISA kit is a solid phase sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) for the quantitative measurement of DMP1 in Human serum, plasma and cell culture media. An antibody specific for Human DMP1 was coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and samples are added to the wells and any DMP1 present binds to the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed and biotinylated anti-Human DMP1 antibody is added. After washing away unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is added to the wells. The wells are again washed and TMB substrate solution is added, which produces a blue color in direct proportion to the amount of DMP1 present in the initial sample. The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow, and the microwell absorbances are read at 450 nm.Research Area Angiogenesis;

dentin matrix acidic phosphoprotein 1 (DMP1) Background: Dentin matrix acidic phosphoprotein 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the DMP1 gene.Dentin matrix acidic phosphoprotein is an extracellular matrix protein and a member of the small integrin-binding ligand N-linked glycoprotein (SIBLING) family (other members being DSPP, IBSP, MEPE, and SPP1). This protein, which is critical for proper mineralization of bone and dentin, is present in diverse cells of bone and tooth tissues. The protein contains a large number of acidic domains, multiple phosphorylation sites, a functional arg-gly-asp cell attachment sequence, and a DNA binding domain. In undifferentiated osteoblasts it is primarily a nuclear protein that regulates the expression of osteoblast-specific genes.
